CSK eventually won the match by 13 runs, beating DD in the former’s adopted home ground, Pune. MS Dhoni starred with the bat as he hit a 22-ball 51, which included 5 monstrous sixes, to take CSK to a mammoth 211, yet one would have to admire Watson’s 78 that laid the platform for an MSD finish. MSD’s 52 also meant he became the captain with most runs in IPL history, surpassing Gambhir in the process. Delhi Daredevils needed 212 to win, which was never going to be easy.

His exasperated expressions said it all.
