IPL 2018, CSK v SRH: Karn Sharma Does Something Never-Before-Seen In Cricket — WATCH

IPL 2018, CSK v SRH: Sunrisers Hyderabad require another 111 runs with 6 wickets and 55 balls remaining

Move over Trent Boult!

Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) Karn Sharma did something which, in all probability, has never been seen before on a cricket field. Karn Sharma’s hop, jump and save effort is not only winning the internet but is also a testament to the fact that the game of cricket has become quite athletic and acrobatic. CSK are taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 20 of IPL 2018. Chennai Super Kings batted first and despite a slow start, put on a formidable 183 for SRH to chase. Rayadu (79) and MS Dhoni’s 25 off 12 balls slingshot CSK’s score.

The incident that came into notice happened in the second innings of the match when Sunrisers Hyderabad were batting. Thakur was bowling to Williamson in the 4th over. Karn Sharma, at the third man boundary, came up with a superb piece of fielding as he leapt right up in the air after Williamson upper-cut a short ball. Sharma stretched his right hand. He saw that his left foot was going to land outside the boundary and just as he was landing down, he releases the ball after completing the catch. This would have probably been on par with Boult’s catch last night had he got that, but the effort is commendable.
