Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s aggressive and stern response after Shane Watson was dismissed headlines the first innings between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK locked horns with SRH in what was pitted as a high-profile southern derby. SRH won the toss and put CSK to bat first. CSK got off to a slow start with Shane Watson, the centurion from last game, and Faf du Plessis, both not getting the timing right. They continued to struggle before du Plessis finally got out for 11 runs. Watson was soon joined by Suresh Raina. Watson along with Raina tried to up the ante but failed.

Watson hit a six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in a bid to let loose the shackles and he succeeded. But that certainly did not go down well with Kumar, who is usually dead accurate and very economical. Watson was looking confident after the big hit in the 4th over. The very next ball he bowled was a good length on the leg stump, moved erratically on the pitch. Watson does not spot the knuckle-ball, not many can. Watson flicks early and spoons a catch to Hooda at short midwicket. This carries to Hooda nicely and he dives forward to pouch it safely.

Meanwhile, as we speak CSK have boosted themselves to a respectable total. CSK are currently 162 for 3 in the 19th over. Rayadu top-scored with 79 off 37 balls, Raina too got his first IPL 2018 fifty.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a tough task at hand to chase down the big score. They will have to bat out of their skin to pose a threat to Chennai Super Kings.
