Both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) started their campaign with a win against Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) respectively. The challenge is to continue the winning streak in their second match as well. CSK will be playing on their home ground despite the protests over Cauvery river dispute. It will be a battle of the wicketkeeper-captains — Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni.
We ran a poll on our Facebook page to know which team is more favoured to win the match, according to the fans. CSK are the clear winners after their stellar show in the IPL 2018 opener despite KKR’s easy win in the first match.
Here are the final poll results:
CSK’s star recruit Kedar Jadhav has been ruled out of IPL 2018 after suffering a hamstring injury. Jadhav won the match for CSK in a last-over thriller. Replacing him in the squad is English all-rounder David Willey, although it is uncertain whether he’ll make it into the playing XI straightaway.
CSK have replaced Jadhav with English batsman Sam Billings. Whereas they have opted for Shardul Thakur instead of Mark Wood. KKR have made a change as well replacing Mitchell Johnson with Tom Curran.
