Ravindra Jadeja silenced his critics with his stupendous performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) taking three wickets in his four-over spell. Jadeja turned the match on his head by getting the wickets of RCB skipper Virat Kohli, Mandeep Singh and half-centurion Parthiv Patel. He opened RCB’s batting lineup and helped in giving his team a modest target to chase. However, it was Jadeja’s ‘no celebration’ act that caught everyone’s eye.
Even if we leave out Kohli’s wicket, Jadeja did not even celebrate after dismissing Mandeep and Parthiv. After RCB’s innings, Jadeja revealed why he did not celebrate Kohli’s wicket in an interview with former Indian cricketer Rohan Gavaskar.
“Actually it was my first ball and was not ready for celebration, plus Virat’s wicket is always a big wicket. I was just thinking that I got a good wicket and now I have to carry on the momentum for my team.”

Jadeja felt that he was hitting the right areas. Also, bowling with Harbhajan Singh in pair helped him produce the results as a bowling unit. The Saurashtra all-rounder said that the pitch was dry and helping the spinners.
The 29-year-old bowled at an impressive economy rate of 4.50 which is considered to be excellent in T20 format. He got awarded ‘Man of the match’ for his spell. This also means that Jadeja will be a part of playing XI in the next game as well. After CSK’s loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) coach Stephen Fleming implied that Jadeja has not been performing the way team expects him to.
