After Gautam Gambhir stepped down from the post of the skipper, Delhi Daredevils (DD) are all set to host the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. Gambhir’s decision not only left every cricket fanatic in a shock, it put a big question mark on the future of DD in the leftover season.
The side has been going through a grave situation, however, they still have a hope left. They have 8 games left in front of them and they need to win at least 7 to enter into the qualifiers. DD’s this quest begins tonight at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. Before that, let’s put an eye on the milestones which the players from both sides could achieve tonight.
1st match – This is going to be Shreyas captaincy debut in the IPL history. After Gautam Gambhir stepped down from his post, the team will play their first-ever game under his leadership.

958 runs – Newly appointed skipper, Shreyas Iyer needs 42 runs to get 1000 IPL runs for the DD.
5 ducks – If Iyer fails to score a single run and gets out on duck, he will become the batsmen with the joint-most number of ducks for DD equalling Virender Sehwag’s record of 6 ducks.

3940 runs – These many runs have been scored by Robin Uthappa in this tournament so far. He needs 60 more runs to 4000 IPL runs. In case if he scores 75 runs or more, he will surpass David Warner’s total of 1014 runs in the tournament.
1968 runs – Robin Uthappa has these many runs as a KKR player. He needs 32 more runs to complete 2000 runs for his franchise.

47 wickets – Piyush Chawla needs two wickets to surpass Umesh Yadav (48 wickets) to become the 2nd highest wicket taker of KKR.
131 wickets – With these many wickets, Chawala is also the 3rd highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL. If he manages to pluck 4 scalps tonight, he will dethrone Amit Mishra from the second position who currently has 134 wickets under his belt.

88 matches – Sunil Narine has played 88 games so far in the IPL history. Tonight if he finds a spot in the playing XI, he will equal Rahul Dravid’s record of playing 89 games in this tournament. He is the only overseas spinner in IPL history to play this many games till date.
