Dreams do come true! At least that’s true for a 25-year-old cricketer from Dholpur district in Rajasthan, Tajinder Singh Dhillon who is set to live his dream in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Dhillon, who represents Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy, was picked up by Mumbai Indians for Rs 55 lakh.
Early life
Dhillon, born to a truck driver, started playing cricket at the age of 8 when his uncle, who also played Ranji for Railways, introduced him to the sport by taking him to a cricket playground.
Dholpur, known for National Chambal (Gharial) Wildlife Sanctuary and Van Vihar Wildlife Sanctuary, is not a hotspot for producing cricketers. But Dhillon would be the first player from the district to wear IPL jersey.
