Dinesh Karthik is the only wicketkeeper in India who has the caliber to replace former Indian skipper MS Dhoni in the limited overs team. Karthik has been in amazing form whether it is in front of the stumps with the bat or behind the stumps with his gloves. The Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) skipper’s showed off his skills in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 qualifier 2 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
In the 11th over of SRH’s innings, Piyush Chawla got the better of Wriddhiman Saha as he tried to work the ball behind square leg but mistimed it. Saha went for a run and then tried to get back into the crease. But Karthik was too fast as he picked the ball and dislodged the bails in a flash.

The third umpire had a look at it as they suspected whether the ball was in gloves while hitting the stumps or not. Saha was way outside the crease as Karthik’s reflexes did the trick for his team. Karthik made up for dropping Saha’s catch earlier in the innings.
The SRH wicketkeeper-batsman got out after scoring 35 runs from 27 deliveries including 5 boundaries. He top-scored for SRH as their in-form skipper Kane Williamson got out early in the innings scoring just 3 runs.

Saha made a comeback into the SRH side. He had to sit out for a few games because of minor injury. Sreevats Goswami replaced him in the team. KKR banked upon SRH’s experience for the qualifier 2 as Eden Gardens is its homeground.
