Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star player Shane Watson rose to the occasion and played a breathtaking innings in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 final. Watson scored 117 runs from 57 deliveries, including 11 fours and 8 sixes. The former Australian cricketer made hitting sixes look like a child’s play. There was an overflow of emotions as Ambati Rayudu hit the winning runs and CSK players came running towards their match winners.

The soon-to-be 37-year-old toyed with the bowling towards the death overs and took the game away from SRH in just one over by hitting Sandeep Sharma for 26 runs, including 3 sixes and 2 fours.
The 36-year-old did not get off to the best of starts as he did not score a single run in the first 10 deliveries of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. But he made up for them with a match-winning knock.

The Aussie revealed after the match that his goal was to score a run-a-ball after playing 10 dot deliveries. He tried hitting boundaries but did not expect to finish the latter half of the innings in just 18 deliveries.
