Kedar Jadhav, who helped Chennai Super Kings to their win on the first night of the IPL, with a six is ruled out of the remainder of the season. Jadhav walked into bat with CSK in a precarious situation. He was not slated to come out and bat but had to come out as the team needed his desperately. His six was the gamechanger from the opening night. It was that time of the match when most CSK fans were thinking they had lost it. Jadhav is an all-rounder, who also chips in with the ball. He also has a lot of domestic experience of playing in India, that makes him an asset to the team.

“Big loss for us, very key player for us in the middle order,” CSK’s batting coach Michael Hussey said ahead of his side’s first home game of the season.
Jadhav has not been in the national side but has been there and done that in the past, hence him not being able to play for Chennai Super Kings is a chest blow to the southern franchise.
It is believed he suffered a hamstring injury which will take time to heal. In the post-match interview after his heroic performance, he had said that he may not be able to play for two weeks. But now, the injury seems to be more severe and he will have to miss the entire season.
