The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) finally sealed the game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 3 at the Eden Gardens. Dinesh Karthik & Co. perfectly sought the revenge of what happened to them in Chennai and beat them by 6 wickets to win the Indian Premier League (IPL) match number 33. Despite putting a decent score of 178 runs, several fumbles during fielding cost CSK an entire game. Especially, the two dollies dropped by Ravindra Jadeja in the 2nd over.
KKR though lost 4 wickets, the way U-19 World Cup hero, Shubhman Gill and skipper Dinesh Karthik took the game home, in the end, was terrific. Gill smashed the first-ever half-century in this competition and was stationed at the crease till the end. He was promoted up the order in the absence of Nitish Rana and he justified the same. KKR earned 2 more points in this competition.
