Harbhajan Singh is one of the few players who played for with Mumbai Indians (MI) for a decade. Harbhajan took the catch of Suryakumar Yadav breaking a crucial partnership between him and Ishan Kishan. Shane Watson bowled a slower bouncer to Suryakumar who played the ball towards deep fine leg who took where Harbhajan completed the catch.
However, it was surprising to see Harbhajan celebrating the match in such animated fashion against his ex-franchise. It seemed like Harbhajan took his emotions take over as after two early wickets of big guns — Evin Lewis and Rohit Sharma, a partnership of 78 runs for the third wicket revived their innings.

Mumbai Indians posted a total of 165 for 4 in the first innings. The Pandya brothers did well too sharing a partnership of 52 runs off just 32 balls. Earlier MI’s new recruit Evin Lewis failed to justify his Rs 3.8 crore price tag as he got out for a duck on his second ball and also became the first batsman to be given out even after taking Decision Review System (DRS) in IPL.
