Jasprit Bumrah’s no-ball in the penultimate over of the match tilted it totally in favour of Rajasthan Royals (RR). Mumbai Indians (MI) took on Royals for Match 21 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. Mumbai Indians won the toss and going against the trend, opted to bat first, putting up a target of 168 for Royals to chase. Suryakumar Yadav was the pick of the MI batsmen as he scored 74 off 47. But it seemed the bowlers were not disciplined enough and that backfired for Mumbai Indians.
In a moment in the match, Bumrah bowled a no-ball when Royals needed 22 to win from 10 balls. He overstepped and reminded the world of the infamous no-ball he bowled during the finals of the Champions Trophy 2017 wherein Fakhar Zaman was out early but it was adjudicated a no-ball. He survived and went on to score a match-winning hundred. Bumrah did a repeat of sorts. Jofra Archer was the stand-out player, taking a complete toll of the extra ball. Soon, we saw Bumrah getting trolled on social media for the overstep.
