Kings XI Punjab’s co-owner Preity Zinta seems to be finally putting a rest to the Virender Sehwag alleged altercation.
Media houses carried the news of an alleged altercation in the Kings XI Punjab team management between Zinta and Sehwag. The source to the media house had claimed that there was an argument over why Ravichandran Ashwin was promoted ahead of Manoj Tiwary. The Bollywood actress apparently questioned Sehwag’s strategy behind promoting Ashwin up the order. All of this may not have happened had Ashwin not got out for a duck.

“Against Rajasthan Royals, skipper Ravichandran Ashwin was sent in at number three, ahead of more accomplished batsmen such as Karun Nair and Manoj Tiwari. The move backfired as Ashwin fell for a duck, and Preity launched into Sehwag for the decision,” the report quoted an unnamed source as saying.

The game we are speaking about is Kings XI Punjab’s last encounter against Rajasthan Royals, where the KXIP failed to chase 158. Once the report came out, speculations over Virender Sehwag calling of the contract started making the rounds. But it seems the actress has addressed the elephant in the room with her latest tweet on her Twitter account.
Mumbai Mirror gets it wrong again because we didn’t do Media net & pay them to write articles cuz that’s the only time they get it right. A conversation between Viru & me has been blown out of proportion & suddenly I’m a Villian ! Wow ! #fakenews https://t.co/qGOYhCiVtV

KXIP are placed in the third spot in the points table and look promising to make the playoffs. They have 4 more games remaining and a couple of wins would seal the playoffs berth for the northern franchisee.
