Young pacers Shivam Mavi and Avesh Khan, representing Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils respectively in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2018, were today reprimanded for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.
The two bowlers were issued reprimands for two separate incidents during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi on April 27.
During the game, U-19 speedster Mavi was seen ‘abusing’ Delhi’s Colin Munro after dismissing him, while Avesh was found guilty of the same offence after he dismissed KKR’s Andre Russell.
“Both Mr. Mavi and Mr Khan admitted to the Level 1 offence under 2.1.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanctions,” the Indian Premier League said in a statement.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
Earlier, inspired by half-centuries from new skipper Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw, Delhi finally ended their three-match losing streak with a 55-run thumping win over KKR.
With Friday’s win, Delhi’s stay at the bottom of the points table ended as they climbed to the 7th spot while KKR remained static at No.4 despite their fourth loss in seven matches.
