Virat Kohli seems to be on the verge of adding another feather to his cap. The Indian captain can become the highest run-scorer in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) today when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) play against Mumbai Indians (MI). Defending champions Mumbai Indians will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore in what is considered a very important match of IPL 2018. It is because both the star-studded line-ups are looking to get some momentum before heading into the middle stages of the tournament. Mumbai Indians, led by Rohit Sharma, have played three matches and have lost all of them, thus, would be desperate for a win.

Virat Kohli has 4527 runs in 152 IPL games whereas Suresh Raina, who is at the top of the charts, has amassed 4544 runs in 158 matches. So Kohli needs just 18 runs to go past the ever-so-consistent Raina. Suresh Raina’s luck wore off after he sustained a calf injury and had to miss out on playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Suresh Raina is missing a match for CSK for the first time ever.
He was part of each of CSK’s first 158 matches (IPL & CLT20). #KXIPvCSK

Virat Kohli also needs 49 more runs to become the first player to score 5000 runs for a team in the 20-over cricket. He has 4951 runs from 158 innings for RCB at an average of 37.50 (SR 131.53).
Quite a few milestones are just within the reach as Umesh Yadav needs 4 more wickets to become the fifth Indian pacer to take 100 wickets in IPL. Not a bad feat to have under your belt.
With so much at stake, RCB locking horns with MI is a must-watch for all cricket fans. The match commences at 8:00 PM IST.
