Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been officially knocked out of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 with their dramatic loss to Rajasthan Royals (RR). On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ensured that their place in the playoffs is cemented with a win over table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). KKR won the match by 5 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
KKR’s new recruit Prasidh Krishna took 4 wickets in the first innings helping the team restrict the total in the death overs. Four batsmen lost their wicket in the final over bowled by Krishna including a run out. In the second innings, Robin Uthappa stitched a crucial partnership of 67 runs for the second wicket helping his team cruise towards the victory.
In a post-match interaction, Uthappa and Krishna shared their thoughts on the performances in the must-win clash. Towards the end of the video, the Karnataka players urged the RCB fans to support KKR since the home team has been knocked out of the tournament already. They even used their tagline “Ee sala cup namde” while signing off.

Uthappa has not been in the best of forms in this season. He has not been able to convert a good start into a big score most of the times. The 32-year-old has scored 346 runs from 14 games. Krishna has been impressive in the five games he has played for KKR. He has taken 9 wickets despite leaking runs at an economy rate of 8.80.

KKR are most likely to go up against Mumbai Indians (MI) or Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator until and unless Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) pull off a win by huge margin.
