IPL 2018: Shah Rukh Khan Wishes His Son AbRam To Represent India In Hockey

IPL 2018:After 11 years of Chak De, King Khan wishes that his youngest son, AbRam, represents India in the game of hockey

Remember the legendary film ‘Chak De India’? Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan’s most iconic movie which released in the year 2007 and turned out be a huge hit at the box-office. Shah Rukh played a character named Kabir Khan who was a former Indian hockey skipper and later became the coach of Indian women’s hockey team. The story inspired a lot of young Indians towards hockey. After 11 years of Chak De, King Khan wishes that his youngest son, AbRam , represents India in the game of hockey.

Shah Rukh, along with his daughter Suhana and son AbRam , arrived at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata to witness the opening game of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). After KKR pulled out a challenging victory against RCB, SRK spoke about his little son’s future and revealed what he wishes from him. He said,

“He is not yet playing cricket, he is playing a bit of football. I would like him to play field hockey for India.”

He also spoke about how his children and the KKR team are keeping him young over the years. He said.

“I don’t think bad about anyone. I am always happy. I have children 21, 17 and 5 so me and my wife keep trying to be young. Our children and the team keeps us young.”

Shah Rukh has been very supportive of his team’s players so far. He often visits the Eden Gardens to back his team while the crowd goes gaga over his presence. This year, since the team has been reshuffled and a new captain along with several young players have been inducted, SRK believes they are going to have a good season ahead. He said,

“This year we got a chance to rejig the team so we just decided to bring in the young ones. If I am not wrong we have the youngest team in the IPL. They will hopefully do well and make Kolkata proud.”

The KKR started their IPL 2018 journey with victory on April 8. Next, they will play against the Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai.
