Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) started off their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 campaign in the best way possible by registering a victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) without breaking a sweat. SRH’s new skipper Kane Williamson got the team combination right. They have a chance to make it two for two at their home-ground — Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad — against a wounded Mumbai Indians (MI).
Here’s a look at the feats SRH players can achieve in the seventh match of IPL 2018 —
1. Shikhar Dhawan started off the IPL 2018 season with an unbeaten knock of 77 runs off 57 balls. Dhawan scored his 29th half-century against RR. If he continues his form against MI and scores another half-century, he will equal Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli’s tally of half-centuries (30).
2. Shakib Al Hasan has 296 wickets in T20 cricket overall. He needs 4 more wickets to become the first left-arm bowler to take 300 wickets in T20 cricket. He is currently listed fifth on the list of most wickets taken in T20 cricket. The Bangladeshi all-rounder also has a chance to go past Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi who has 300 wickets. The list is currently topped by Dwayne Bravo with 413 wickets.
3. SRH batsman Yusuf Pathan needs to score 61 runs or more to go past Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik’s tally of runs. Yusuf will become the 12th highest run-scorer in IPL if he scores 61 runs or more.
4. Dhawan has 51 catches and is currently placed 8th on the list of most catches taken in IPL. He needs two more catches to go past former SRH skipper David Warner who has 52 catches in IPL.
5. SRH’s new wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha can go past former Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist. Saha has 65 dismissals whereas Gilchrist has 67. Three more dismissals will take him to the sixth on the list of most dismissals. He can also go past Parthiv Patel who has 71 dismissals so far in the few matches he played. The list is topped by Karthik with 107 dismissals followed by MS Dhoni (103 dismissals).
