Manish Pandey’s induction into Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) season 11 created a strong buzz among the cricket fanatics. The 28-year-old cricketer bagged a whopping deal of Rs 11 crore and became one of the most expensive cricketers to be bid for. Considering his pay, he was expected to perform well in this cash-rich tournament, however, he couldn’t do anything special with the bat.

Despite an inconsistent form, he yet again got a chance in the playing XI in the IPL Match Number 39 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Unusually, the Orange Army got off to a poor start and lost 2 wickets within the powerplay. Pandey stepped in at Number 4 and was expected to play a good inning alongside skipper Kane Williamson. But he wasn’t lucky enough to put much on the scoreboard. He faced just 7 balls and returned to the dressing room. Yuzvendra Chahal’s delivery bamboozled him and he gave away his wicket after scoring only 5 runs.
