Kings XI Punjab co-owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta posted a welcome message for Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh on Twitter after her franchise bought the left-handed batsman for about Rs 2 crore for the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
During the IPL auctions 2018 in Bengaluru on January 27, Yuvraj was taken by Punjab at his base price of Rs 2 crore as there were no other bidders for the 2011 World Cup hero.
Preity Zinta took to her twitter handle to welcome Yuvraj Singh into Punjab’s franchise and wrote: “Yesssssss ! @YUVSTRONG12 is back home at @lionsdenkxip and I cannot be happier.”

Yuvraj Singh’s stocks, however, dipped as he was the player who in 2014 IPL players’ auction was sold for whopping Rs 14 crore to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Yuvraj Singh is currently not a part of Indian national cricket team due to some fitness issue.

Yuvraj Singh played his last ODI in June 2017 while his last appearance in T20 was in February 2017. Yuvraj Singh is an out an out match winner, he was the man of the tournament in 2011 cricket World Cup and also played a pivotal role in India winning the 2007 inaugural World T20I.
Yuvraj Singh holds the record of hitting six sixes in six balls during 2007 World T20I.
Meanwhile, England all-rounder Ben Stokes and Indian youngsters Manish Pandey and Lokesh Rahul emerged as the most valuable players at the IPL auction.
The Australian trio of Glenn Maxwell, Mitchell Starc and Chris Lynn were also sold for hefty prices along with India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Debut season winners Rajasthan Royals (RR) secured Stokes for an eye-popping Rs 12.5 crore. Pandey and Rahul were both sold for Rs 11 crore. Delhi Daredevils (DD) bought Maxwell for Rs 9 crore.
Kolkata spent Rs 9.4 crore for Starc, while Chris Lynn of Australia was sold to KKR for Rs 9.6 crore after they saw off challenges from Delhi and Bangalore.
