Irfan Pathan went unsold in the recently concluded Indian Premier League auction and it was a shock for the cricketing fraternity. Things have not looked up for the Baroda all-rounder after he was snubbed and dropped from the Baroda squad after being appointed captain and mentor at the start of the Ranji season. This year, the 33-year-old cricketer was not picked by any franchises and fans predicted that it was going to be the end of the road for Irfan.

But his latest tweet reveals that all is not lost. In his first tweet after being snubbed by IPL franchises, Pathan wrote,

Irfan Pathan made his debut way back in 2003-04 in the Australia series as a pace bowler who could bat. He was also compared to the legendary Kapil Dev then, but things went downhill ever since he was asked to open for India by then-coach Greg Chappel.
