At 36, MS Dhoni is still among the fittest cricketers in the world. In the recently concluded IPL 2018 which his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won, Dhoni silenced his critics after he showed some superb athleticism on the field as he concluded the season with 24 fours, 30 sixes, 11 catches and 3 lightning-fast stumpings under his belt.
After the IPL 2018 final, Dhoni, while sharing his thoughts during the post-match conference, emphasised that “fitness” is the key factor for success and not age.
“We talk a lot about age, but what’s more important is the fitness. …If you ask most captains, they want players who move well on the field. Doesn’t matter if you’re 19-20 years old. Age is just a number, but you have to be very fit”, Dhoni said after winning the IPL trophy for the third time.
After the game got over, Dhoni challenged his teammate Dwayne Bravo to beat him in the three-run dash. Bravo accepted the challenge and took part in full spirit. But, as expected, Dhoni managed to beat him in the end by a narrow margin.
CSK took to their official Twitter handle to share the video of the challenge between Dhoni and Bravo and captioned it:

CSK rode on a brilliant unbeaten century knock by Shane Watson to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 27. They were awarded the IPL trophy and cash prize of Rs 20 crore. On the other hand, runner-up SRH received Rs 12.5 crore as prize money.
