After retaining star Australian opener David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Sunrisers Hyderabad walked into the IPL Auctions with Rs 59 cr in their bag. They were expected to make some intelligent buys and so they did. They made some big purchases in form of Manish Pandey and Rashid Khan (RTM), which was the inevitable.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has been a consistent team over the past 3-4 years, thanks to a great support staff and of course players like David Warner and Dhawan who can win it on their day. But using RTM for Rashid Khan was very much on the cards. He came to a whopping amount but considering his Big Bash form it is totally worth it, one feels. Yusuf and Manish Pandey, the gems of KKR went to Hyderabad as well. Hyderabad also picked up an all-rounder in form of Carlos Braithwaite.

It seems Hyderabad has spent their money wisely for the Indian talent, but Manish Pandey going for Rs 11 Cr, has to be the talk of the town. Hyderabad has spent Rs 51.05 on Day 1 auctions.
