"I've been shot, I love you": VVS Laxman shared Las Vegas shooting victim's message to her husband

Days after that dreadful incident shook the 'Sin City' of Las Vegas, VVS Laxman took to his social media handle to share an emotional message

Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman shared a picture on his official Twitter handle which shows a text message to a man from his wife who was shot in the Las Vegas mass shooting. On October 2, at least 59 people lost their lives after a gunman opened fire on a country music concert. The incident was considered as the deadliest mass shooting in the US history.

Days after that dreadful incident shook the ‘Sin City’ of Las Vegas, VVS took to his social media handle and shared a forwarded message he had received. While sharing the emotional message, Laxman wrote,”Received this as a forward that a wife sent this to her husband after being shot in the Las Vegas attack. Love eventually wins.”

Thousands of fans came to attend the concert which was next to the Mandalay Bay hotel as part of a three-day country music festival known as Route 91. Musician Bryan Hopkins was performing at the festival. Soon after the attack, Hopkins hid in a large ice chest along with others. Hopkins streamed a Facebook Live account of what was happening around them.

Later, the attacker was identified as Stephen Paddock. According to several media reports, he had reserved two rooms at a hotel overlooking Lollapalooza music festival crowd in downtown Chicago in early August. However, no evidence has shown whether he showed up in the hotel at that time. Two months later, Paddock booked rooms at the 32nd floor in the Mandalay Bay hotel and fired at the crowd attending a music festival.
