Luke Ronchi — New Zealand’s wicketkeeper-batsman — exhibited his power-hitting skills during the Auckland vs Wellington match in Super Smash T20 Tournament 2017 in Auckland. Playing for Wellington, Ronchi opened the innings alongside Hamish Marshall and provided a thunderous start to his innings. The opening duo made an 81-run stand in 6.3 overs before Marshall lost his wicket to Tarun Nethula. But Ronchi continued his monstrous batting with the next batsman Tom Blundell.
Meanwhile, in the 4th over, Ronchi hit Auckland bowler Matt McEwan for a such a huge six that the ball went out of the stadium and hit a car parked nearby a petrol pump. It was a short delivery from McEwan which was pulled fiercely over deep mid-wicket by Ronchi.
