Showmanship is ingrained in their blood and genes. The cricketers who come from the Caribbean island are showstoppers.
They are the ultimate entertainers be it Test, ODI’s or the shortest format T20’s where there are champions.
This is a major reason why franchises from across the world prefer a West Indian player in their team.
Former captain of the West Indian team Darren Sammy is highly preferred by teams in this format, for his ability to chip in with the ball and do some lusty hitting at the death.
Darrren Sammy is representing the Peshawar Zalmi in the ongoing Pakistan Super League, and they hobbled past Lahore in a low scoring thriller last night.

Sammy was so proud of his teams valiant effort that he took to Instagram to introduce his ‘Gang’, his team from Peshawar.
His gang apart from the local players comprises of big names like Shahid Afridi, Muhammad Hafeez, Kamran Akmal, Wahab Riaz and English pacer Chris Jordan, who recently played in India.
As of now, Sammy’s team is placed second in the points table, which means they have a good chance of making it to the knockout stages.

A proud Darren Sammy firmly said ‘on a mission’.
It seems unlike Gayle and Russel, Sammy wants to prove a point on the field and not off it, to regain his place in the hearts of his umpteen cricketing fans around the globe.
