Mitchell Marsh brought up his maiden ton in front of his home crowd in the 3rd Ashes Test between Australia and England at Perth. But en route to his milestone, he nearly killed the umpire with a full-blooded straight drive of Chris Woakes to enter the 90’s. Mitchell Marsh was also in the able company of his captain Steve Smith, who too got a hundred and they both are still at the wicket with Australia managed to wipe out the deficit and lead by 18 runs with 6 wickets in the bank and two players well-set and unbeaten on 100s.

THE SHOT IN QUESTION:
The score was 406 for 4 when Marsh batting on 87 played a near perfect straight drive, it took off like a bullet from the blade of Marsh, even one could see the makers name. The umpire, Marais Erasmus had to take quick action to avoid any injuries. The umpire was acrobatic enough to sway out of the way.

With that shot, Marsh moved into the 90s and soon brought up his maiden ton.

Australia seems to be in a position of command and England will have to pick up wickets to keep the lead to as less a figure as possible. Maybe below 120.
