Mitchell Starc is gearing up for Ashes 2017-18 in style. Earlier, he managed to pick a 10-wicket haul against South Australia, including 8 wickets in a single inning. Starc took his Ashes preparations to another level by picking up not one but two hat-tricks in a single game against Western Australia. The left-arm fast bowler traumatised batsmen, especially tailenders, by darting his fiery yorkers round the wicket. While Starc was busy making history, his wife watched it on live stream during her practice session on her smartphone. She even had a funny reaction to it and said, “It’s funny that they are like, they know it’s coming but they can’t stop it”. Alyssa Healy is also the wicketkeeper of the Australian women’s cricket team.

Here’s the hat-trick that Starc took against Western Australia in the second innings-
In the second innings, Starc took the wickets of Jason Behrendorff, David Moody and Jonathan Wells. While Behrendorff edged the ball to wicketkeeper Peter Nevill, it was followed by a yorker to Moody trapping him in front of the stumps. Whereas Wells edged the ball to skipper Steven Smith at slips in the next over.

In the first innings, Starc came round the wicket and shattered the stumps with a lethal yorker to Behrendorff. Moody stood plump in front of the wicket but couldn’t foresee yet another yorker. The hat-trick wicket was of number 11 batsman Simon Mackin who could not get his bat down in time and ended up getting clean bowled.
Starc’s comeback match is bound to create a few ripples in the game. He is in fine form and is one of those bowlers who know the art of getting rid of the tail in a matter of overs. England captain Joe Root will be looking to plan against him ahead of the Ashes 2017-18.
