Moeen Ali gets trolled for sharing his sketch, Twitterati say drawing is a ‘sin’ in Islam!

Moeen Ali's Twitter post caught the attention of few of his followers who tried to teach him the lessons of Islam. The Twitterati criticised him for going against Islam while some also said that he is going to be punished for his 'sins'

English all-rounder Moeen Ali recently landed himself in trouble after he made a sketch and shared it on the social media. On the occasion of 50th anniversary of Professional Cricketers’ Association (PCA), Moeen posted an artwork that he drew to raise funds for Lord’s Taverners through Cricket United. Lord Taverners is the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity which is associated with the UK’s biggest cricket charity awareness campaign, Cricket United.

But his efforts for this noble cause took an odd and ugly turn. Moeen Ali’s Twitter post caught the attention of a few people who wanted to teach him the lessons of Islam. The Twitterati criticised him for supposedly going against Islam by sketching, which they claimed was not allowed in the religion, with some also saying that he would be punished for his ‘sins’.

Moeen Ali recently made the headlines with his superb performance against South Africa in the on going test series. However, his talent was overshadowed by the so-called preachers of Islam. He had drawn a sketch of West Indies cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards. He took to his Twitter account and shared the picture:
