Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, who recently made a comeback to international cricket after a five-year ban that was imposed on him for spot-fixing, got blessed with a baby girl on Tuesday, September 12. Mohammad Amir, who is not the part of Pakistan XI side which is currently taking on World XI in three T20 International matches, termed as the Independence Cup, is in London with his wife and the newborn baby. Amir shared the news about the birth of his first child on his official Twitter handle. The left-arm pacer has been living in England where he had been participating in County cricket. The news that the fast bowler’s wife had been expecting their first child broke out earlier this month.
Amir took to his Twitter handle to post a picture of himself with the baby girl and captioned it as: “Shukar Allhumdulilah blessed with the Rehmat of Allah! Mashallah.”
Earlier, Mohammad Amir was awarded a five-year ban for taking money to bowl no-balls against England in a Test match on 29 August 2010. The period of the ban ended in September 2015.

ICC, on 19 August 2015, declared Mohammad Amir free to play cricket in all three formats beginning from September 2, 2015. On 15 January 2016, he made his return to international cricket in a T20I match against New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Pakistan cricket fans finally turned spectators in an international match that was held in Lahore yesterday, September 12, and featured world class players. Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan XI took on World XI led by South African skipper Faf du Plessis in the first T20 match of the three-match series.
This series in every way will be historic as it represents a big step forward by the ICC to bring back international cricket matches to Pakistan after the dreadful terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team during their tour in 2009.
