As the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia has entered into the pre-quarterfinals stage, football fever has gripped the entire world, including the Indian cricket team.
Virat Kohli & Co are currently in Dublin for two T20Is against Ireland. Ahead of the match, Indian players including MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and captain Virat Kohli among others attended the training session at Malahide Cricket Club.
They started their warm-up session by playing football. They divided the players into two teams — one was led by Virat Kohli and other was by former Indian captain MS Dhoni. And surprisingly, Virat Kohli’s men thrashed Dhoni’s team by 4-2. This info was revealed by Dinesh Karthik, who is an integral part of Team India.
BCCI shared a video on their Twitter handle in which Karthik could be seen sharing the details of India’s net session.
“We have just landed here at Dublin and came straight to the ground from our hotel,” Karthik said in the video.
“Kohli’s team won 4-2 today. There was a good round of football. We play football very competitively. It was good fun. Following that we had some fielding practice with our coach R Sridhar.” Karthik added.
