Shreyas Iyer did get a start but did not kick on from there, he was out for 24 off 20 balls. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and put India in to bat first at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack in the 1st T20I. India put 180 on the board for the loss of 3 wickets.
For Sri Lanka, Matthews, Fernando and Perera picked up a wicket each.
