After almost 8 months, Indian Murali Vijay is playing a Test match for India. The absence of Shikhar Dhawan in the 2nd game against Sri Lanka made the way for Vijay. He made sure that he shouldn’t miss this chance and came back with flying colours against the Islanders. Vijay came to open the Indian inning on day 1 and batted till the second day. He remained at the crease for 75 overs and kept on frustrating the Lankan bowlers.
On day 2, he resumed the Indian innings with a four and went to score big. Right after getting his 16th Test fifty, Vijay shifted the gear and started charging the Lankan bowling attack. After facing 188 balls, Vijay got his 10th Test hundred and he celebrated in style.
