Kane Williamson-led New Zealand side regained the top spot in T20I rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on January 3.
New Zealand have returned to the top of ICC T20I Team Rankings after winning the three-match series against the Windies by 2-0.
Kiwis were at the third place behind Pakistan (124 points) and India (121 points) on 120 points when they started the series against Windies. They now have 126 points, while the Windies have dropped from 120 points to 115 points, sliding to the fifth position.

New Zealand will now next face Pakistan in the three-match series starting from January 22. To retain the top spot, the Blackcaps will have to beat Pakistan by at least 2-1. Their failure to win the series will see Pakistan back at the top of the table.
