Harmanpreet Kaur, who is the current Vice-Captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, proved to be India’s star in the semi-final of the recently concluded Women’s World Cup. Her sizzling knock in a crucial match against Australia made her an overnight sensation. Harmanpreet Kaur represents the new, aggressive breed of Indian cricketers who are fearless with their play. The Indian women’s cricket team ranked 7th before the tournament and after making it to the finals against hosts England they are now ranked 4th. But, now it seems the Moga girl is taking a break from cricket and is looking for other opportunities. She was recently spotted on a different kind of pitch, walking the ramp at the Mysore Fashion Week.
Harmanpreet Kaur debuted on the ramp for designer Archana Kochhar at the on September 17. Clad in an elegant blue lehenga, Kaur looked cautious while on the stage but did not let go of her humble smile as the jam-packed venue cheered the cricketer.
Talking about her first-time experience at a fashion week, Kaur told IANS:
I was very nervous because it’s my first and I wanted to try something new and different as well, Aso why not try the ramp.
