On hearing Virat Kohli's medical condition, Steven Smith visits skipper's Delhi residence, brings a 'crate of beer'

Steven Smith was in tears according to eye witnesses when he left the Rising Pune Supergiant hotel room to meet Virat Kohli at his Delhi residence

The fight between Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Australian skipper is no secret. Recently, Kohli in the post-match press conference said that he would not be friends with Australians any more. Smith too expressed his views on the matter as he was confused whether Kohli referred to him or not. But, the recent medical reports that got leaked melted Smith’s heart as he decided to visit Kohli’s Delhi residence and that too not empty-handed.

Smith carried a beer-crate for Kohli as it is a ritual in Australia to have a beer with the opponent when the game (Border-Gavaskar Test series) ends. Previously Smith asked Ajinkya Rahane who denied to have a beer with him after the Dharamsala Test.

Smith is upset with himself for allowing Glenn Maxwell to mock Kohli’s shoulder injury as the Indian skipper’s career is on the line now. According to the medical reports which got leaked online, Kohli’s ‘glenohumeral joint’ or the ‘ball-and-socket’ joint which helps the circular movement of the arm has been badly hurt.

On hearing about Kohli’s injury Smith who was in Delhi for the preparations of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 rushed to Kohli’s residence to see if he is doing okay.

Smith criticised Kohli’s behaviour when the Indian captain raised allegations on Australian skipper that the ‘brain fade’ incident was not the only time he asked help from support staff while taking DRS.

According to reports, Smith has apologised personally to Kohli and asked him to be friends with him again. Kohli who could not play in the Dharamsala Test and now is set to miss IPL 2017 and ICC Champions Trophy seem to have forgiven Smith after his sweet gesture.

Not just Smith, but former Australian player Brad Hodge too apologised to him personally for taking a dig at him and doubting his commitment for Team India.

P.S: We love Virat and want him to play for many years to come and take India to glory in ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Also, Steven Smith did not rush to Kohli’s residence. The above article was pure work of fiction! HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY. YOU FOOL
