Pakistan is finally set to host an international series with World XI slated to play the hosts for 3 T20s to be held on September 12, 13 and 15. With the series, cricket would be returning to Pakistan after a gap of almost a decade. International cricket matches had been banned in Pakistan following a terrorist incident, where the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked en route to the Gadaffi Stadium. But apparently, things are not all right for a World XI player – Lahore-born South African spinner Imran Tahir.

According to Sportskeeda, the 38-year-old leg spinner narrated on Twitter the “painful trauma” that he and his family members had to go through after waiting for five hours before being expelled by the staff at the Pakistan consulate. Tahir claimed that he was ill-treated and also mentioned how lbn-e-Abbas, from the High Commission, helped him. Pakistan is under ICC’s radar and such incidences pertaining to the South Asian country will be closely monitored. The world will also keep a keen eye on all the developments surrounding the T20’s.

The World XI has already been announced and some of the biggest names of cricket feature in the coveted team, which will be lead by Faf Du Plessis.
