Rahul Dravid was appointed as the batting coach when India tours abroad and Zaheer Khan was appointed as the bowling coach. The team India coach saga has stretched more than it should have, even after announcing Anil Kumble’s successor as Ravi Shastri. The coach was selected by the Cricket Advisory Committee comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman. This is a committee comprising of living legends and then to question them over their select is not right, one. There are also reports which came to the fore that Ravi was not the initial choice, but the CAC had to give into Virat Kohli’s wishes.
Cricket historian Ramachandran Guha is the latest to criticize it but he in a series of tweets blames the treatment of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan.
Guha’s tweet read “The shameful treatment of Anil Kumble has now been compounded by the cavalier treatment of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid.”
In fact with another piece of news development today, we learn that Bharat Arun has been selected over Zaheer Khan as bowling coach, this after Ravi Shastri showed inclination towards having him on board. But, the decision was apparently taken by a 4 member panel formed by the BCCI which will include CK Khanna, Vikram Limaye, Diana Edulji and Rahul Johri.
The shameful treatment of Anil Kumble has now been compounded by the cavalier treatment of Zaheer Khan and Rahul Dravid.

Kumble, Dravid and Zaheer were true greats of the game who gave it all on the field. They did not deserve this public humiliation.

He then uses the word ‘public humiliation’ in his next tweet which is a very strong word to be used we feel. That word shows the ‘filth’ that exists in Indian cricket today.
