Ravi Shastri Gets Trolled On Twitter After Virat Kohli Faces His Worst Test Defeat

Kohli-led side will now have to win the third Test, beginning August 18 at the Trent Bridge, if they want to be a part of the series

Indian captain Virat Kohli faced his worst ever Test defeat after the Indian team lost to England by an innings and 159-run in the second Test match at Lord’s.

The loss at Lord’s is India’s first innings defeat under Virat Kohli’s captaincy. It comes in his 37th Test. The last time India lost a Test match with innings defeat was also in England, at The Oval in 2014.

England bowlers played the key role in bowling out strong Indian batting line-up for just 130 runs in the second innings after having conceded the first-innings lead by 289 runs in reply to the Virat Kohli-led side’s lowly first-inning total of 107.

India could only make 107 and 130 in the second Test at Lord’s, resulting in an innings and 159-run defeat. The team is down 0-2 in the five-match series.

For England, seamers Stuart Broad and James Anderson took four wickets each, while fellow seamer and Man of the Match Chris Woakes picked up two.

Following the loss, Indian coach Ravi Shastri became the latest victim of trolling with many Indian cricket fans blaming him for the loss.

Ravi Shastri is Team India’s cheerleader. He gets paid to cheer up Virat Kohli. Anil Kumble did not have this skill. All he has is 619 test wickets .

Virat Kohli = Captain + Main Batsman + Press Secretary + Coach

Ravi Shastri = Team Cheerleader

What does Ravi Shastri do as the head coach? I really want to know. #ENGvIND

I wonder what is Ravi Shastri doing to be receiving 8Cr per year ?
Our batsman were massively technically flawed when they toured SA in January and are still flawed….
Not even a slight improvement has been shown by our Batsmans except Virat Kohli#ENGvIND

Ravi Shastri as Coach is More Dangerous than Greg Chappel For Indian Cricket.

Shastri was appointed the head coach of the Indian cricket team in July 2017 after Anil Kumble resigned from his post following team India’s loss in the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan.

Meanwhile, during the post-match presentation, skipper Kohli has admitted that his side deserved to lose the match as they were completely outplayed by the home side.

“Not proud of the way we’ve played. First time in the last five Tests that we’ve been outplayed. We deserved to lose this game, the way we went about things.,” Kohli said in a post-match presentation.
