The first T20I between India and Australia at the Gabba, was a batting paradise. Bowlers found it hard to contain the batsman except the two leg spinners in the sides — Kuldeep Yadav and Adam Zampa — who took two wickets each. The only help the bowlers got was from the sizes of the boundaries. That’s what Ravichandran Ashwin mentioned in his tweet as he termed it as ‘a delight for the bowlers’.
The boundary sizes in Australiaphew— is a delight for the bowlers. #AusvInd

But trolls gotta do what they do the best. The keyboard warriors tried to troll the Indian off spinner:

But Ashwin’s not one to back down, and gave it back to them. Maybe he is preparing for the Test series against Australia in advance, sharpening his sledging skills in case required.
He remembers his statistics when he was part of the T20I squad in 2016 playing in Australia:
2 for 26, 1 for 27 and 1 for 37 in the 3-0 win last series. Thanks buddy

That didn’t stop the trolls and another one jumped in:
How many wickets in test vs Australia in Australia buddy?
— Parikshit Korekar (@_imparikshit) November 21, 2018
But Ashwin shut that down quickly:
I am the one whose got the records, please go and take a look. I can’t Google you and find you.

Marcus Stoinis used the boundary size perfectly to his advantage while bowling in the death overs. He refused to give any pace to the batsmen to work with. Stoinis hit the deck hard, constantly bowling slower ones, with fielders protecting the boundary on the leg side. That’s how he got the wickets of Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik to give his team the victory.
That’s what Ashwin was trying to highlight. Most of the grounds in India are so small that even mishits go the distance, making it unfair for spinners. At grounds like the Gabba, the batsmen has to time the ball really well to hit a maximum. That’s all Ashwin was trying to say, guys!
