Ravindra Jadeja turns 29: Virat Kohli shows-off his bond, hugs ‘Birthday Boy’ on-field — WATCH

Jadeja also bowled a magical delivery to get rid of Dinesh Chandimal on Day 5, however, the replays revealed it to be a no-ball

Ravindra Jadeja turned 29 on Day 5 of the 3rd Test versus Sri Lanka at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. The ‘birthday boy’s’ initial big day celebration took place while the Indian team was warming up before the start of Day 5. The big screen displayed ‘Happy Birthday’ Ravindra Jadeja which was followed by an outpour of hugs and wishes. Indian captain Virat Kohli gave him the warmest hug while other teammates and support staff also joined in and hugged the Saurashtrian.

Here is the video of how the pre-birthday celebrations transpired:

Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3 wickets in the 2nd innings of the Delhi Test and looks promising to scalp more wickets. But the incident that startled all was when Jadeja bowled a magical delivery to get rid of Dinesh Chandimal. However, the replays showed that it was a no-ball. Jadeja has the tendency to overstep, something he needs to rectify in the future.

Meanwhile, as we speak, India has picked up 2 wickets on Day 5. But the two wickets are possibly the most crucial wickets from the Indian point of view. They have got rid of the two centurions from the 1st innings – probably the best batsman in the visitor’s line-up. The match seems to be totally inclined in favour of India. India needs 5 more wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
