Indian pacer Mohammed Shami appeared to be in a great frame of mind as he was putting up a magnificent show of quality reverse swing bowling against New Zealand at Eden Gardens.
India won the match with a huge margin and also became the number 1 Test side in the world.
Indian pacer Mohammed Shami’s contribution cannot be overlooked as he took six wickets in the match.
Though, Shami looked in great shape, from inside he was a worried man. Shami’s 14-month-old daughter was in hospital from the second day of the Kolkata Test.
According to reports, Shami would visit his daughter every day after returning to team hotel.
His daughter was running high fever. She was also suffering from breathing difficulty.
She was released from the hospital on the last day of the Test match.
“My captain had given me huge inspiration every night after I returned from the hospital. So, I am extremely thankful to him and also thankful to the mates who also gave me belief that my daughter must get cured by the time Test ends,” Shami was quoted by HT.
