Rohan Gavaskar recently posted a picture of him alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag and that has gone viral, all thanks to the caption. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag are considered amongst the best-limited overs openers to have played the game.
The Bengal cricketer Rohan uploaded a picture with Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar and the caption stands out just as much as the greats in the picture. “India’s greatest openers. Tendulkar , Gavaskar , Sehwag. Two at cricket . One at bottles,” said Gavaskar.

Both Sehwag and Sachin have astounding numbers behind their back. Sehwag has featured in 251 ODIs and has amassed 8273 runs at an average of 35.05. He also has 15 centuries to his name and a double century as well. Sachin Tendulkar, on the other hand, played 463 ODIs and scored a mammoth 18426 runs at an average of 44.83. Sachin has 49 centuries to his name in the shorter format of the game.
The top order Bengal batsman has featured in 11 international games. All these appearances came in 2004 under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly in two ODI series in Australia and the Netherlands. He scored his only international half-century against Zimbabwe in Adelaide. At a certain point in time, Rohan was considered as one of the biggest talents in the country. But it was unfortunate that he could not optimise the number of opportunities he got.
