2011 World Cup hero, Yuvraj Singh, who is currently out of the Indian squad owing to his fitness, reveals some secrets about his teammates including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma among others.
While talking to a Youtube channel SportScreenIndia, Yuvraj provided his expert comments on his teammates’ football skills. Indian players often play football as a part of their warm-up schedule.
For Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj said ‘the Mumbai batsman is a horrible soccer player.’
“He (Rohit) just passes the ball and then doesn’t move. He is always standing in an off-side position,” Yuvraj added.
For Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Yuvi said the Delhi batsman has a lot of skills but sadly lacks the finish.
“Virat is really fit and can run the length and breadth of the pitch with high speed, but unfortunately, he can never score goals. He has a lot of skills but sadly lacks the finish. I think he needs to work on that.”
Yuvraj, who failed to impress his fans with his performance in the just-concluded IPL season 2018, had some honest advice for Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.
“Jasprit Bumrah shouldn’t play football. Hardik Pandya is a really bad footballer. He too needs to improve his football skills,” Yuvi said on a lighter note.
Besides, Yuvi also revealed the best footballer in the current Indian squad.
“Mahi (Dhoni) is an excellent soccer player”, Yuvraj said on the web-show.
