Ross Taylor gets trolled by Virender Sehwag for his surname despite playing a match-winning knock

Virender Sehwag did not spare New Zealand's veteran batsman Ross Taylor on Twitter despite him scoring a match-winning knock

Virender Sehwag does not spare anyone, even if that particular player has played an exceptional knock under challenging circumstances. Ross Taylor was on the receiving end on one of Sehwag’s Twitter trolls after he played a sensible knock of 95 runs off 100 balls including 8 boundaries. Sehwag tweeted after the match comparing the Kiwi’s surname ‘Taylor’ to an actual trailer by calling him ‘Darji ji’. Sehwag also commended his effort but trolled him further saying that he recently had to deal with pressure due to Diwali orders. Sehwag has always been witty with his comments on Twitter or in the commentary box.

This is not the first time Sehwag has trolled Taylor on his surname. He did it in November 2016 as well when Taylor tagged him by mistake. Here’s what he tweeted last year when New Zealand toured India –

He indirectly trolled New Zealand centurion Tom Latham as well by retweeting a tweet from a fan –

Taylor rescued New Zealand from 80 for 3 when the visitors lost the wickets of skipper Kane Williamson and opener Martin Guptill quickly. He put on a partnership of 200 runs with Latham which turned out to be a match-winning one and also a record at the Wankhede Stadium.

Taylor got out in the penultimate over of the innings as he was striving hard to get to his century. But, Indian bowlers did not let Taylor get to the triple figures and put pressure on him. He gave a catch at the covers to Yuzvendra Chahal. But it was too late for Indian bowlers to make a comeback as Taylor had done his job taking his team to the doorstep.

Taylor, Latham and Trent Boult stole Virat Kohli’s thunder in the 200th ODI as his century went in vain.
