New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor, who grabbed the spotlight after he indulged in Twitter banter with Virender Sehwag, finally revealed who helped him in learning Hindi to counter former Indian batsman on Twitter. Taylor said that his teammate Ish Sodhi and Indian staffer Dev helped him learn the language. Earlier, New Zealand lost a hard-fought three-match T20I series against India after falling six runs short in the final T20I in Thiruvananthapuram on November 7.
Ross Taylor revealed the names while he was signing off the Indian tour and departing for his country. Taylor shared a post on his official Instagram account with a picture, including his teammate Ish Sodhi and staff member Dev. In the caption, he also said that it was a pleasure playing in India for him.

The banter between Sehwag and Taylor started after the first ODI at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on October 22 which Team India lost by 6 wickets. It was Ross Taylor, along with Tom Latham, who guided the Kiwis to a memorable win. After the match, Sehwag took to his Twitter account and congratulated Ross Taylor on playing well and then went on to call him ‘Darji’ (a Hindi term used to call tailors).
Sehwag wrote,
Well played @RossLTaylor Darji ji . Great effort after handling the pressure of Diwali orders .#indvsnz

Taylor took it sportingly and shared a good laugh about the ‘darji’ comment from Sehwag. Interestingly, Taylor replied back in Hindi and wrote,
Thanks @virendersehwag bhai agli Baar Apna order time pe Bhej dena so Mai Apko agli Diwali ke pehle deliver kardunga ….happy Diwali

This banter continued and Sehwag replied,
Hahaha Masterji , is saal waali patloon hi ek bilaang choti karke dena next diwali pe. Ross the Boss, most sporting 🙂 https://t.co/FNpAwrWCB4

The sporty banter did not stop there as the two legends tried to get the better of each other. Ross, in turn, replied,
Has your Darji not done a good job this Diwali _?
