Former Sri Lankan cricketer Russel Arnold on December 7 tried to hurt Indian Team fans by predicting the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series result, saying the ODI’s won’t end 5-0 like it did a few months ago.
Russel Arnold, who has now become a commentator, took to his official Twitter handle to predict the ODIs result after the three-match Test series ended 1-0. Arnold wrote:
So Test series ends 1-0 and I can promise you the ODI’s wont end 5-0 like it did a few months ago !!!

Soon after tweeting this, Arnold found himself in an embarrassing situation after former India batsman VVS Laxman trolled him for his wrong facts as this time Sri Lankans are scheduled to play only three and not five ODIs against India
Laxman replied back to Arnold and wrote:
Sure Russel , it won’t in a 3 match series. This prediction won’t fail. https://t.co/zhJTlwUV92

Earlier in August, Virat Kohli-led Team India outclassed Sri Lankans across all formats of the game. They won the 3-match Test series by 3-0, 5-match ODI series by 5-0 and registered a 7-wicket victory in the lone T20I.

Meanwhile, Team India will have a new captain Rohit Sharma in place of Virat Kohli for the ODIs and T20Is against the Lankans, as the latter requested BCCI for a break as he was playing non-stop cricket for about 48 months.
There are also speculations that Indian captain Virat might tie the knot with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in Italy in the coming weekend. According to the reports, Virat Kohli has also left Delhi for the destination wedding which will tentatively take place on either December 9, 10 or 11. The couple, however, has not confirmed the news.
