Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag to Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, cricketers salute Indian Air Force personnel — WATCH

It is heart-warming to see the legends come out and support the Air Force, it will certainly motivate the force personnel to achieve bigger goals

Among the three forces of India, Air Force is an integral wing. Its complement of personnel and aircraft assets ranks fourth amongst the air forces of the world. October 8th marks the Air Force Day as it was on this day that the Bharatiya Vayu Sena (The Hindi name) was founded. It is a day when bravery and valour are celebrated. A very important day in the lives of the air personnel. It is heartwarming to see our sporting heroes, cricketing stars are saluting the air force for the bravery they have shown in protecting the country from infiltrating threat. As expected, it was Sachin Tendulkar, who led the bandwagon when it came to saluting the Bravehearts. He posted a video message for the soldiers, that too wearing the air force uniform.

Joining the bandwagon was his opening partner, Virender Sehwag, who is a social media addict. It was ironical to see the current limited-overs openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma also emulated what their seniors did.

Meanwhile, India is playing Australia in a 3 T20I series, where Virat Kohli’s India have taken a 1-0 lead already with a 9 wicket win. Earlier, India also won the One Day International series 4-1. It seems like this Indian team is having a real ball.

Here are the tweets of cricketers on Air Force Day.
