Vidarbha recently won their maiden Ranji Trophy title beating seven-time champions Delhi by 9 wickets in the finals and that has drawn attention from all corners for the young stars. Some of them are even in line to bag big IPL deals. The IPL Auctions are on January 27, 28. Meanwhile, former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar who knows the Ranji circuit well took to Twitter and made a comment on Vidarbha fielding two Mumbai stalwarts.
His post read, “And yes, Vidarbha, don’t mention it. You are most welcome* *Two Mumbai stalwarts in the squad.”

This did not go down well with the cricket followers who perhaps felt the Mumbaikar was being a tad bit harsh.

Here is how cricket fans responded to Sanjay Manjrekar’s post on Twitter.
Those are professionals same like you. I hope while commentry u praise everyone the same.. also this shows Mumbai cricket is losing its talent management skills which vidarbha has got. Hope u understand what I want to say. #RanjiTrophy2017

I can see the light side of this tweet. Just a quick question, how did #Vidarbha managed to win #RanjiTrophy2017 with 2 Mumbai stalwarts, but Mumbai themselves didn’t manage to pull it off with their entire squad of mumbaikars? ____

So What ?? you Should Congratulate and Appericiate instead of Doing this.

Ridiculous tweet.. Why r they here in 1st place? And what has Mumbai achieved with the remaining stalwarts?
— Dr Nilesh Agrawal (@drnileshagrawal) January 1, 2018
Grow up !!! Be ashamed .. this is not funny.. and completely disrespectful to #Vidarbha.. Nothing wrong in giving credit to the people, who deserve..
— Vinoth kumar (@vinoth_kumark) January 1, 2018
For you it’s never India cricket…it’s Mumbai Mumbai and Mumbai… probably India should field 11 players from MUMBAI
